I've been working out a lot recently in preparation for the military, and I desperately need some good song recommendations. It will hopefully make this waiting period between application submission and decision announcement much easier. I'll start off the list with one good workout song. Even though I don't really listen to rap at all, Till I Collapse by Eminem is a good song. Thank you all in advance, and good luck to all of those applying!

Google “Army cadence downloads for workouts,” ditto “Marine” variant, other services. Even Royal Marines. There are dozens of free and paid ones. I built a file I listen to while rowing. Makes me wanna yell while doing it, which would certainly draw some eyeballs at the gym. Some of the available downloads are, shall we say, salty or not fit for public vocalization.

Look on YouTube too.

Cadences are good for repetitive motion cardio workouts. They also feel good to me mentally, connecting decades of workouts and mandatory PT with friends and shipmates. No doubt it’s a bit nerdy, but cadences sure do smooth out the edges of a long grind for me.

I really enjoy listening to Disturbed while training. Warrior, Indestructible, Stupify, Down w the Sickness, Ten thousand fists, etc. If you need some extra pump of motivation I quite enjoy some Slipknot songs such as spit it out, unsainted, etc

Damn! @Capt MJ beat me to it.
You probably listen to those as your “nap music.” There are some great YouTube videos of best Marine drill sergeant cadence competitions.

I listen to the sound of waves slapping a hull and sluicing along the side, best nap music.

"Whiskey River" by Willie Nelson.
"Bar Room Buddies" by Merle Haggard.

I guess that depends on what you mean by "workout".
