For those who have accepted your an appointment, any idea what the minimum GPA/grades are to not have your offer rescinded?

Everyone is obviously going to continue to try their best in school. However, what happens if you get a D in an "extra" class? ie. Taking calculus is an "extra" class because it is beyond your math requirements to graduate high school.

Thanks.

I am also wondering about this. I am taking calc II, and I would like to know what the minimum grade must be. I'm not saying I am going to fail, but the class is definitely not easy!!

I was worried about that too haha. I ended up with a B last semester in AP Calc I, but I asked my RC and he said that admissions only looks at D's or F's no matter what class. If you think about it though, if you cant pass a high school class then how are you supposed to do it at West Point where ALL the classes are really hard.

Last year, as a senior, DS was finding AP Physics quite the challenge, so we got a tutor. Cost us quite a bit, but was well worth it.

Is there any help available after school?

I was bad and got an F in AP Chemistry but killed the test. So don't mess around but the world won't end over one grade.

usma doesn't want to see a decline in your grades, because it shows decreased effort. If you're struggling and get a C or something, don't sweat it, but do not stop trying your very hardest. That is a bad way to start your cadet career.

At least we're worrying about it, and hopefully that and plenty of motivation(West Point) will push us even more towards finishing this last semester out strong.

Now is the time you can stop worrying cause you have been appointed use this and hopefully you're new go lucky attitude to finish high school with a bang!! I'm going to use it to crush my nemesis in AP Bio:thumb:

I definitely am trying my hardest, just as if it were junior year. Calc is really difficult, and I struggle to keep a C.

That's why I was wondering if a D will destroy you..

An "extra class" is not viewed differently because it is still a class you are enrolled in, required or not. I suggest you seek help from your teacher or a tutor to bring that grade up before it's too late. You made it this far, it's time for the final stretch. :thumb:
