My dd is a sophomore transfer, but a 100 for ROTC. Has approximately 42 credits between freshman year at another institution and hs credits. I read, and now can't find what I'm looking for, that you can only do a specific number of graduate credits if on scholarship. Trying to set up an academic schedule for the next 3 years or less if not accepted to field training next year, with one path that would include receiving a scholarship and one without in which my dd would graduate early.

Have him talk to the Detachment Commander about all this. My DS is currently a freshman GMC and was offered the 4-year Type 1 Scholarship when he was in HS, the Air Force came back and asked him if he was interested in a 5th year to complete his Masters in Mech/Aero "Before" he commissions, so graduate school can be a reality and paid for, but there needs to be conversations.

Odd that they made her an AS100 instead of a 250 with that schedule. I've seen cadets pursue a master's while in AFROTC and commission with one. Not sure about the exact policy or reference documents, but it is definitely possible with the schedule and prior credits your DD has. See if your DD's school has any accelerated master's programs where you can work on both degrees at the same time (usually starting either late Junior year or early Senior year). If the master's is in a similar field, some of the master's credits may be able to transfer to the bachelor's degree, but it really depends on the school's policy. There are also multiple different types of scholarships that will pay for a different amount of years. Some are extendable for technical degrees and others aren't. Regardless, have your DD talk to their APAS (Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies) to get some further clarification and guidance about their specific situation.
