Just an FYI. I don't know if it is okay to advertise a book, but we often look to books for information and sometimes there is a really good one that I have to mention because it is so helpful. I also always search through Amazon to find books on any subject we need, and have found some very helpful resources for AFROTC and for USAFA. So, we highly recommend the book, The Air Force Academy Candidate Book: How to Get In, How to Prepare, How to Survive.

It is a book we have had for a while, but now that we are within a month of the start of BCT, we are rediscovering what good and timely advice and insights it contains, not just for those preparing to apply, but for appointees getting ready for the doolie year, and their parents. There are many good, timely chapters with solid advice on how to survive and thrive physically, socially and academically. I see it is available at Amazon, and also at reduced cost for Kindle.
