Grenade!!

Ha ha...mine is in that club as well.
At my son’s interview with MOC, a retired officer looked over his high school transcript and had only one question for him ... if he wanted them to tell USNA that he didn’t know how to drive. His driver ed grade was average. Which in my estimation was too high.

IRT sons who are crappy drivers:

Mine is in charge of other people's sons who are crappy drivers driving million to multi-million dollar war machines.

He though is an excellent driver and is good looking. And single if any prospective grandchild mothers are out there.

My son got a ticket for rolling through a stop sign shortly after accepting his appointment. That was fun...

During senior year, in the midst of applying to three SAs and for three ROTC scholarships, DD had a date with a traffic court judge. She’d rear-ended someone in a low-speed, no-injury accident — in the process, totaling my car, which I’d let her borrow while I was out of town. She was held accountable, rightly so, with a fine and community service.

I chuckle now because, looking back, the smart blazer, dress pants and sensible flats she wore before the judge were the same things she wore in her interviews with MOC nom panels and SA reps and ROTC reps. It all worked out, and she’s to this day a rather cautious driver. Good thing, because as a firstie, she’ll be one of the designated drivers when her club sports team goes on road trips.

I too chuckle now...but, was rather stressful at the time. My son informed his RC via email...and never heard back. It was a non-issue.

Hypothetically speaking, what if a mid got a speeding ticket while a mid? :)
