MCAS, because you’re a Marine, air station, because of the prose in context, and I would have said that MCAS in SoCal that was BRAC’ed when Marines took over NAS Miramar but I can’t remember the name, and a close look at the foliage in photo makes me think “piney flatlands East Coast, so MCAS Cherry Point? The room maybe a BOQ?
 
Those are wonderfully appointed BOQ, aren't they? It does happen to be an MCAS - and you are close - but not Cherry Point.
 
I’ve seen these same signs at a couple of MCAS, but my foliage memories are not so good. Someone else will have to place the MCAS.

And what is it about Navy and Marine BOQs - the sofa is always some scratchy material, it’s too short to take a decent nap, and the armrests are hard and terrible for your head.
 
Your stats on blown out knees is probably on point. The O-course does cause some boo boos from time to time. DS shared that pic with me when the Marines brought some aircraft for display to Hospital point.

by the way, it was not a USMC style course - this was a unique/one off course with a passing time of 3 minutes and lots of up and down stuff where you could fall while trying to make up time.
