Guidance Counselor Dragging Feet

I'm not sure about your high school, but when I went to ask my counselor for the school profile I was informed it wouldn't be available until the end of September so that my be a limiting factor.

Not an issue. Was available in August, but thanks.
 
My guidance counselor took two weeks to submit my transcript and school profile. I started following up with her every day after the first week of it not showing up on my application. Eventually I had to sit in her room and make sure she filled it out. Ridiculous right? Bottom line, if your counselor is anything like mine, USAFA is at the bottom of his/her to do list so you gotta give him/her a little nudge to make sure that USAFA moves to the top of the list since it's your top priority. Don't feel embarrassed about annoying the counselor because they shoulda got it done the moment you asked them. They don't get payed to sit at their desks doing nothing. Even if it is a little embarrassing, still don't worry about it because a little embarrassment is worth getting an early application submitted.
