My friend who is reporting with me has a question about hair regulations. They mention that we should arrive without “non-natural hair tones” on R-Day. He was a part of his state championship swim team recently and the entire team bleached their hair a light, yellowish blonde color. I know we’re not supposed to show up with our hair cut short or buzzed off so will he have to dye his hair back to a somewhat normal color? Thanks!

So no blue, pink, orange, etc hair is what this gets at. Not the worst idea to re-dye, else he will have frosted tips when his buzz cut grows out . . .

But probably not a fatal offense to leave it !

He is boy. He won't have hair for long. But if it looks like it will draw attention to him in a bad way, get it cut now.

Wouldn’t worry about it, quite honestly. It’ll get shaved off, like everyone else’s. So cadre won’t really be aware or even care. If it’s what I imagine — that cliche bleached look that so many swimmers find appealing — it really shouldn’t stand out much.
