Happy Birthday President Carter!

I wonder if he is the last classmate standing from 1946? He would have to be. There are probably some entire class years skipped with no grads left after him, bless all their souls.

Paging USNA grads: I know there are designations such as (I think) Grey Eagle for most senior naval aviator on active duty SWO, sub officer, etc. Is there something for oldest living USNA alum?

Interesting article from last April. I don’t know if they are still with us.

Good opportunity to recommend the bio of President Carter by Jonathan Alter: “His Very Best: Jimmy Carter, a Life.” It came out in 2020 and I read it a year or two ago. Excellent book about a fascinating man.

Awhile back, @Dr. Strange Love (if memory serves) posted this great telling of a story by President Carter about an interview with Admiral Rickover. I don't know why, but his telling of the story made such an impression on me. I pull it up and watch it every now and then.

You are magic!! I am not a regular YouTube user, admittedly, but I searched on there for the video and couldn’t find it.
I subscribe to YouTube channels:
USNA
USNA Music Dept
USMC The President’s Own
U.S. Navy Band
And the HM Royal Marines Band, who most enjoyable.

Handy.
