Happy Birthday to the U.S. Coast Guard. Exactly 221 years ago today the U.S. Coast Guard was created as the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service. The father of the Coast Guard is Alexander Hamilton. Since August 4, 1790 the Coast Guard has become the longest continuous sea going service for the United States.
