All, I am grateful for the community of friends and shipmates here. It’s fun each year to see the appointment threads grow along with the inevitable ups and downs.

You know I am fond of sharing music videos. Regardless of your faith group and holiday practices, as one year ends, it’s always a good time to reflect on blessings and look forward to better times. Good health to all!

The reason I adore y’all, is you put up with my “all things navy” obsession. My real life friends don’t get it. My family is over it. But all my anonymous online friends put up with it 😂. So y’all fill a place in my life.

I adore learning about this life my own 3 boys have chosen. I love the stories, and quit wit. A recipe here and there. Bacon ideas, as well as beverage possibilities. All the while helping youth achieve their own goals, blossoming in confidence, at the beginning of their next phases of life.

Totally my jam....

Thank you for the “regalo”. What made the slang memorable was the animated hand gestures the Romans and Neapolitans used. Loved Italy during the Christmas season. They do the whole twelve days of Christmas, as you know. I have to return to Little Italy or Safeway to get some panettone. Ciao.

The small Army Commissary that I use always has Pannetone for the holidays.
 
This forum has been a blessing, both to me as a mom of a SA candidate and now a plebe mom. The breadth and wealth of experience across broad spectrums is invaluable.
Our Thanksgiving dinner will forever be improved by some sage advice from CaptMJ.

I have had strangers reach out via message and we have become friends. Strangers have offered advice, counsel, caution and hostel to myself and our kiddo.
So many places, sites, forums and platforms are rife with rancor and not a place polite debate can occur. This forum has remained a bastion of polite discourse.

Thanks to very good moderators.

This year has challenged us like no other in recent memory.
My wish for us all is some level of normalcy, the joy of friendship and family, the pride of service for those we hold dear, and the faith that we can continue to succeed in our endeavors. Merry Christmas, I appreciate you all including me in this journey.
 
I’ve been writing down post-COVID bucket list items. I realized we hadn’t been to see the “Messiah” concert at the USNA Chapel in a few years. I put the 2021 concert on the list. It’s a professional-level production, with paid artists brought in for the solos. DH has fond memories of singing in it.
