Our family was out to dinner tonight with our mid, recalling a year ago; the up in the air feeling we all had about whether or not DS would get an appointment to the USNA. It has been a year of ups and downs, blessings, and new friendships. For those of you who helped us through the time when DS broke his ankle and I was crying on this forum, thank you and God bless. For those of you who are in our place now, keep the faith. Happy New year to all of you and thank you for the support of the wonderful people on this site. I could not have made it through this year without you.

I second that sentiment! I found this forum a year ago. Many posts later and a lot of mental notes on what to do and what not to do during the whole process--summer seminars, ROTC scholarships, and academy applications and nominations--daughter is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I am very thankful for everyone's participation and help on this forum. This whole thing went much smoother than I had initially thought it would.

Blessings for you and yours in 2011 !

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to you has well. Not being prior military, I had family members who served. My Dad served in the Army Air Corps, ny late brother in the Marines and the wife in the Army. We in this country should be so thankful to those who served, serve now and continue to do so. To include those who are in the SA's and ROTC. I consider them the best and brightest in the country, those who defend freedom and made the choice to do so, is awesome. And to become future leaders in our great country. Tell your DS from me, thanks for service to our great country.

GOD BLESS, GOD SPEED and Happy New Year, to all,

RGK
