My interview was over the phone, at first I did'nt know this was THE interview until I went online and saw my interview had been submitted. Honeslty I am worried. I feel as if I didnt get my chance to really let my bgo get to know me. Any Advice! I do understand they are volunteers with lives it's just confusing.

i had my interview over the phone. i live about 3 hours from my BGO. so we scheduled a date and time.

My son's interview was over the phone. He was scheduled for an inperson interview but injured himself in practice the day before and had to reschedule. BGO wanted to get it submitted quickly, so he suggested the over the phone interveiw. DS is now a 3rd class midshipman at USNA...so I wouldn't worry too much! I think the fact that he wanted to get it done soon and submitted it so fast is a good sign for you!

Not to dash anyone's hopes but the fact that a BGO wants to get an interview done and submitted early means only that your BGO is on top of things -- and probably that you have completed a fair percentage of your application packet. It has little to do with your competitiveness. Sorry.

Thank you,for both post. I do need a little encouragment! I did get my first interview with one of my Senators so I'm one step closer.
