Has anyone received an appointment to NAPS yet?

If you receive an appointment to NAPS or a foundation school, do you still get a phone call from your congressman? Do NAPS appointments tend to be given later in the admissions cycle than USNA appointments?

Thanks in advance! I’ve been so stressed these last couple of days...

NAPS and Foundation offers can, and have, come out during any point of the Admissions cycle.

I have not heard of MOC involvement in notifying, and wouldn't expect it since the NAPS/Foundation offers are not subject to nominations.
(That said, I would expect that USNA Admissions notifies the MOC when one of their nominees goes to NAPS/Foundations, if only to give them a courtesy heads up that the Candidate will be reapplying the next year).

BTW, a phone call doesn’t always happen for an appointment. It’s not a requirement. Many have posted they were not notified. DS received no communication, written or verbal, at all from his MOC’s after receiving his appointment. Ever. He had 3 noms and presumably any one of those could have extended congrats. As MOC’s often ALL claim an appointment of one of their nom’s.

Our DS received his appt to NAPS near the end of April last year. We found out by seeing it on his portal. No phone call or letter. In fact, his BFE didn't come until a few weeks later. We were just getting ready to send a deposit to VA Tech as he had also received a ROTC scholarship when I thought I'd check his portal one last time. Without a single nomination we had resolved USNA wasn't going to happen. Just goes to show, never give up hope. NAPS has been an absolute blessing to both our DS and us. We have formed a very close network of parents that advise and support each other on a daily basis.

Hi there. So no word last year at the April 15 deadline for you guys? And then late April a NAPS appointment? The waiting is so hard!
