Has the ROTC stipend process changed for anyone else?

Looking on myPay, our school's next LES, due for the 15th, is now for $58.33 instead of the usual $175 (the MSII semimonthly allowance).

I haven't had a chance to speak to our finance manager yet, but seeing as how $58.33 is exactly 1/3 of $175, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a new schedule instated in which cadets get paid weekly instead of semimonthly or if anyone has had the same issue.

If that is not the case, looks like I'll be holding off on grocery shopping until the end of the month :rolleyes:
 
I can see that my son's stipend for the 15th was direct deposited into his account already and it's for the normal amount.
 
Update from DS

DS found out all MSII's pay for the 15th ( today) was cut to $58.33, yet MSIII's and IV's remained the same at his school. Cadre was unaware of the change or reason why. They are looking into it. Guess mom & dad are paying for groceries this week.
 
I can't imagine what possible rationale there is for reducing MSII stipend and not the others. I would love to hear what the cadre finds out. I'm hoping its a glitch in the system.
 
It will be all good! Cadet Command did not know why pay was only posted for April 1-5th for their school. Only 9 MSII's at his school, so not too much paperwork to be submitted by his Cadre. :thumb:
 
UPDATE: Yes as stated above, it looks like it was some glitch that only affected the MSIIs for some schools. Our finance man contacted Cadet Command this morning who said they are unsure of what caused the glitch but are working on fixing it right away. Thanks everyone!
 
Probably just a typo. Instead of April 1-15 it's April 1-5. Oops! :eek:
