Haven't Been Notified of NROTC Marine Option Results

I've heard that the NROTC Marine Option selection results were released yesterday but I haven't been notified of results and I've been checking the NETFOCUS portal frequently. It still says "your application is at the Marine corps district for board selection". How did you all get notified of the board's decision? Also, could it be possible that board results were released for certain recruiting districts and not for others?

A few days ago, my recruiter called and told me I won. Then today I received an email regarding some more info about it. My portal still hasn't updated

I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking it might be by district. I'm not sure though.

Yes, NROTC MO boards are by district. Results may not be out for your district yet. several years ago DS got a negative reply by email (there may have been a phone call too) and it was followed up later with a letter stating other paths to commissioning. We were already ahead of that game. However, we did not get that negative reply until mid-April. Be patient, but also have an alternative plan ready to execute.

I just recieved an email today saying that out of the 210 kids competing there were only 15 spots and we shouldn't be disappointed in ourselves. I'm glad I went out for it though and know what to do better if there's a next time (if I don't get USNA or USMMA)

All the districts have already reported results to NSTC, and placement of recipients at units has occurred. Recruiters were given until 28 MAR to notify those selected. Units who received Marine scholarship recipients were notified 29 MAR.

Since you said unit, I'm assuming you're a college program mid. Go talk to your MOI.

Recruiters were supposed to notify recipients NLT 28 MAR. That may or may not have happened in all cases. Either way, the units who received new Marine scholarship mids were all notified 29 MAR, so the staff at each unit knows.

Oh no. I'm sorry I should have specified. I am a high school senior waiting to hear about the 4 year scholarship. My recruiter often refers to those involved with the recruiting office as a "unit". No one has contacted me about anything regarding the scholarship and the netfocus status says that it is pending a decision. I had asked my recruiter if he had heard anything, and he hasn't replied back. I was wondering why there was no news on it yet, since people have been getting notifications already.

Hello @johnny1530, I am new to this forum too, but I was notified by phone by my Sgt. from the local recruiting office that I was awarded the 4-yr NROTC - MO scholarship on March 27, 2017. Two days later, my OSO called me and notified me about the award, and my portal changed a day later my OSO contacted me. I hope this info helps.

Additionally, I am from the 12th marine corps district.
