as a curious applicant to the USMA class of 2022, I was wondering how long it has taken for others to go from 3Q+Nom to an appointment (any sort of confirmation, BFE, MOC call, Portal, etc)?

How long was I 3Q before I earned my appointment?

November 3 - Jan 10 (about 2 months and a week)

How long did my RC confirm I was 3Q before I earned my appointment?

Pretty sure it was a week or less than. I never got a 3Q letter.

DD got the 3Q letter on her portal and then got a call from our MOC. About two weeks of waiting.

My DS was 3Q in November of 2013 and he received his appointment in February of 2015. (As previously stated, he didn't get selected on his first try). Half of those that are 3Q are QNS (qualified, not selected). While you cannot be selected if you are not 3Q, 3Q doesn't guarantee selection.

DD December 19 2016 3Qed letter stating no longer have rolling admissions, being put on National waiting list, most appointments would go out between 26 February and 1 May 2017.
" Although most offers of admission will be tendered before 1 May 2017, final selection from the waiting list may be made only a few days before class enters." Captain ..........., U.S. Army
She received her appointment on 8 February 2017.
Another Plebe I met this past weekend received his around the first week in May 2017.

That’s not how it works. There is no set time. Not everyone gets a 3Q letter. You cannot game the system even if is a means to cope w the stress of the long wait. . Just hang in there and you will know between now and 1 May.
