My name is Chris I've been looking at these forums for quite some time and wanted to ask a question myself.

Basically my question is, is it hard to get a waiver for hearing loss. I am afraid when i go get the DODmerb physical that this will DQ me. I have been wanting to join the Army for as long as i can think of, and i don't want this 1 thing to hold me back. I can hear people fine I can hear whispers fine I don't have to have people repeat themselves, honestly if i would have never told you you would've never known i had a hearing loss. Any help or answers would be appreciated thank you.

DO the DodMerb, if you need a waiver, than MullenLE will try to assist you for a waiver. However, there are regs, and some are waived, some aren't.

Don't put the cart before the horse. For all you know your hearing might not be an issue, but if you took accutane that could be an issue.

At this point there is nothing you can do until you take the DodMerb and get results. Once you get the results for the entire DodMerb exam, then you can deal with the waiver if it is needed. Like I said in the last paragraph, you may placing too much attention to one aspect and missing another that could dq. Take the DodMerb and then address what is needed.

Good luck
