Helicopter Parents

What they call the "plebes" at the Virginia Military Institute. They're "rats".

I'm thinking of changing my call sign here to helicopter parent just to enjoy the show.

Yes regcock still a well used term. DS uses the term frequently.

Well son. With 26 year of active service and 3 years to go I can tell you that the ability to handle congressional inquiry is also a skill set that every leader must acquire. I only called the school once to get DS postal box. Get frustrated by hearing from DS that johnys mom called to ask why johny wasn't allowed to go into town to buy contact solution or whatever. But as a leader you are under a microscope, remember that before making decisions don't fear or complain about the outside influence whether it's a parent or disgruntled tax payer. Just make certain that your prepared to defend why johny got treated "unfairly" because you will be answering those kind of questions through out your career.

How about "crew gerbil". I was always amazed at how blatantly sycophantic they were ... Like no one could see right through them!

"a "regcock" - do they still use that term at KP these days?"

oh yeah, they still use it...seems like "snapperhead" was also a popular description at one time
