I lurked on the forum for a while and registered over a year ago. In that time, I learned a tremendous amount about the application process for the various service academies, which made it possible for me to understand what DS was trying to do. I am proud and thankful that he was accepted to the USMA '24 class.

Otherwise, I am an attorney, and I volunteer with our local Sea Cadet unit -- a great activity for young people interested in military careers to "try before you buy". Feel free to DM me any Sea Cadet questions.

Thank you to all who make these Forums such a valuable resource.

Congrats to your DS!

My youngest is applying to several as well. He just submitted his prelim for USNA. I've definitely learned a lot here as well. My oldest is at VMI.
