DS applying to AFA and NA. Has gotten nomination from Rep for NA. Awaiting word from Senators on other Noms. I am in Air Force so of course am pulling for AFA but am thrilled he got Nom for NA. Lots of good info found so far here. Thanks to all who keep it going. i am sure I will refer to it often the next few years.:thumb:
 
My DD has interviewed with Sen Hagan and is awaiting word from her office. Has your son also interviewed with Sen Burr?
 
Spoke to rep from Sen Burr's office this week. Notifications about interviews will likely go out next week. From what I have read on this forum, he does not interview all applicants, only ones likely to get nom so if you get interview odds are good to get nom. Hagan's office in the past has given out noms in the last couple weeks of December. Good luck to your DD. What SA is she looking at?
 
My DD has applied to USAFA and USNA.

She looked at her AFA portal last night and was surprised to see she had a nomination from Sen Hagan (no phone call or letter from her office). Looking at past announcements, Sen Hagan doesn't give multiple SA nominations; each SA has 10 names with no overlap.

Good information on Sen Burr's office and his timeline. Had hoped to see everything done and 'wrapped' up before Christmas. I don't know if he coordinates with Sen Hagan's office but she hopes to get a nomination from him to USNA.

I'm also new to this forum and from NC. It has been a wonderful source of information, increased my understanding of how things work, all the while elevating my BP! DS has received noms for AFA and USMA. Checked portal this am; nothing from Hagen. Thanks for info on Burr. Best of luck to all.
 
I am also from NC. DD applying to USNA. Received nomination from Pittenger this week. Has interviewed with Hagan but not heard and waiting to hear on interview date with Burr. DD also received a 4yr NROTC scholarship to UF (her first choice)
 
Sen Burr's office called and said interview notifications should be done by Dec 19th. Good luck to all.
 
DS got email from Sen Burr's office today informing him he has been granted an interview. From what I understand that means good chance of NOM,:rolleyes:
 
DD interviewed with Sen Burr's office today. 30 invites to fill 10 slots. Only 2 of those had a USAFA nom from Sen Hagan so it looks like they don't want to duplicate lists. Everyone should be notified by next week.
 
DS received nomination from Congressman Butterfield today for USNA. Good luck to all!
