Hi everyone. I'm a 2009 graduate of NROTC at the University of South Carolina and an active duty Navy LT. An E-2C Hawkeye Naval Flight Officer by trade, for the past year or so I've been an instructor at Tulane NROTC in New Orleans, where I work as the Freshman Advisor. This website first came to my attention when I learned that a couple of our students had used it as a resource during their journey to apply for scholarships and select a unit/school. From what I've seen so far, there is a lot of good gouge and advice available on this forum, but also the occasional misinformation. So on that note, I'll offer up my knowledge in order to help out as I can, particularly in the areas of the Navy/Marine scholarship process, selection and placement, day-to-day unit life, and opportunities in the fleet. Additionally, if anyone has any questions regarding Tulane NROTC specifically, I'd also be happy to discuss. That's all for now. Hello again to all.

Great video! The Sun Kings made some really good ones a few years back.

LT, if you don't mind, why not taking PG school at NPS or elsewhere? Do you have your long term plan mapped out?

NPS is not an option for a first shore tour. Actually though, I have an opportunity to earn a masters degree free of charge while here at the university.

Oops...forgot you ARE in the hen house! :)
