Finally registered after lurking for several months. The info here has been quite helpful to my son's application to the USMA. I am the dad of a Class of 2014 hopeful. His candidate file is complete; he's qualified by DoDMERB without waivers; his nomination packets are in the hands of our two Senators and our Representative; and he's written his first letter to a Vice-President, asking for a nomination. Now our family waits. In the meantime, my son has taken every opportunity possible to take and retake the SAT and ACT. And the first of several nomination interviews has been scheduled. He's active in sports, and I understand that knowing where to find bubble-wrap may be important in the future, but I don't want to jinx things. Thanks to everyone who has posted information in the past that has proven quite useful to our family. I hope that I can return the favor. In the USMA sub-forum, I wrote a lengthy post on class of 2012 demographics and some coments from a recent AIM we attended.
