I've utilized this site multiple times while applying, and I finally decided to join. I just accepted my offer to Naval Academy! The process was a little draining on me, as I found out I was disqualified for my vision, but I received my waiver a few days ago and am extremely thankful.

From what I've researched, I think I was accepted for my academics but mostly for being a female applicant. Please feel free to ask me questions about my stats, but I'm not sure I'll be of much help...
I'm a little anxious for plebe summer and the fact that my family has never had any experiences with the military. I'm definitely closer to the bottom of my class, esp. physically, and I know I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm excited for all of the opportunities to come at USNA though, and I'll try my best!

Additionally, are there any good workouts and diets recommended to prepare for plebe summer? Any advice to calm myself mentally as well? I honestly lost hope in the academy when I heard abt my disqualification in Feb, so I'm very behind in my preparations...

I'm from VA! I wasn't much of a leader until my senior yr, when I gained more confidence. I was only nominated by my representative.
GPA: 4.0 unweighted
SAT: 1540
Top 10% of class
ECs: club swimming (4 yrs), varsity xc (2 yrs), girl scout, volunteer at various places, president of 2 preexisting clubs and started/lead another (all leadership in senior yr only), summer lifeguard
No major awards, achievements, etc. I think luck, AA, and not much competition from the students at my school rly helped.

One of the best things you can do for plebe summer is start running. You will run everyday, everywhere. Having shin splints will not only sideline you from plebe summer, but it may start a reputation you don’t want to follow you. So definitely start running working on intervals and distances of up to 4-5 miles pretty easily. Diet wise just eat healthy, but unless you’re concerned about your weight there’s no magic bullet. Balance fruits and vegetables and protein, just enjoy good food while you have it. Congrats on the waiver and welcome aboard!

4.0?! 1540 on the SAT?! That doesn't sound like the bottom of the class to me...

Anyway, good luck at USNA!!!

I hope you know that Army's gonna beat you this December but whatever :)

Congratulations!! I understand you are anxious, but don't let it be because you feel like you are not as good as the others, YOU were appointed just like everyone else you will meet there.
