Greetings All,
I have been reading posts on this forum for about a year, and felt it was time to make an account and join the community. I am currently a senior in high school, and I have just been informed that I am a recipient of the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship. Looking forward to getting to know all of you, and answering questions for anyone seeking information.

I know many who post here regularly try to write with “lurkers” (used with affection) in mind.

Your input will be valuable and current.
 
Congrats on the scholarship!! I am still awaiting my results down here in FL !! What state are you from? I heard results come out district by district so I’ve been waiting for FL to be released.

I am in WA, which is the 12th District.
 
I am also in FL waiting on a notification, my NETFOCUS still says "At The Marine Corps District For Board Selection. @Freedom1776 I was wondering how you were Notified?

My NETFOCUS said that for a while, then additonally stated "Decision Pending." On Wednesday I logged into the portal and it had changed to "the NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application, no decision has been made yet" with all my contact info listed below. From looking around this forum it becomes apparent that the online portal is updated only every few months. I found out I was accepted when my recruiter called me, and the next day the RS XO came to my school to present me with a check.
