Hi, DD received a letter Monday asking for three more pieces of info AMI. We’ve left messages and emails and we have gotten no response. I know they were shut down for two Days because of the blizzard but obviously we need to get this done ASAP. DD applying to Kings Point. They say she needs another Concorde dr appointment and that a physician was assigned. But when she logs into dodmets no physician listed. I am worried she is running out of time.

Did you try calling DODMERB or DODMETS? I understand DODMETS is located in Philadelphia and DODMERB is in Colorado Springs. DODMETS is usually very responsive. Just push option #2 or ask for the remedial department.

Your daughter could also email her regional contact at USMMA to keep them updated on her progress through the remedial.

Try and remember DoDMERB, and DoDMETS are both EXTREMELY busy right now processing remedials and Waiver requests. If you can't get through to DoDMERB, try calling Concorde directly in Philadelphia. If DoDMERB has sent over the AMI's, Concorde can speak with your DD, and set her up with a doctor or facility locally to get the remedials taken care of. And unless specified in DD's letter, she does not have to use DoDMETS, she can go to whatever doctors you use locally, just take the letter with what is needed and after the doc gives you their report email it directly to DD's technician.

We did call dodmets and they said that Dodmerb hadn’t updated her status on their end! And they stated the preferred dr is Concorde. We’d like to try to do preferred method. Thank you for the responses.

Yes dodmets was great but they hadn’t received anything yet from Dodmerb

If you can't call her technician, drop him/her an email and ask if the material had been sent to Concorde and if not when to expect it. Also info the DoDMERB Helpdesk on the email. I don't know a lot about USMMA admissions, but some of the SA's will either grant a "Conditional Appointment" or an "LOA" pending completion of the AMI or Waiver process. Admissions knows everyone is getting anxious, and hopefully someone there can alleviate your concerns as to time, but I am pretty sure there are a lot of "pending" medical applicants. Just check out the various Service Academy Class of 23 admissions threads.

DODmerb just referred us to the correspondence - which is what we already received. DD's representative from DODmerb is out on extended leave and Dodmets still has no physician assigned. Starting to panic.

So is there no one else at DoDMERB you can talk to? Surely if someone is on extended leave then someone else is assigned to cover for them. Ought to be that way anyway.

Good news...no Concorde appointment necessary!! So we have some control over getting records over to them!!

So how did you determine that for inquiring folks that want to know in the future when they're up against the same issue(s).

We pelted them with emails and voice mail. I think the letter was written very poorly because it had a section that said Applicant section and it posted three ways for her to get a follow up exam, making us think she needed one. Finally her rep from Dodmerb said it was not necessary.

Does anyone know anything about cutting when a child was 13? No incident since? All medical notes state it’s resolved?

Related to your first question? I don’t have personal experience with this, but in general one waits for information to be requested same as all other medical issues.
