Here we go....

Several months ago this exact scenario/topic was raised on the forum. At that time most folks were quite dismissive of the idea that our military members and families should be more careful online.

Hopefully it's still in the category of "better chance of being hurt by lightning" but folks will at least start considering steps to reduce their risks a bit now...

I highly recommend people smartly use their social media privacy settings.
For example, facebook has a "view as" setting that lets you see what the public can see on your profile. Excessive info about your job and things like your home address need not be public. Even if it only saves you trouble in SERE training, it's worth it.

I know several people who made the list, oddly enough. It looks like they may have used their FB profile pics.
 
I'm assuming the folks on the list have been notified. I missed my NCAA bracet win last year... I wouldn't want to miss my name on the list.
