I stumbled upon this forum a few days ago. My daughter has applied to USAFA and USMA. She has heard rumors that all the slots had been offered so I did a Google search and somehow found this forum. I'm glad I did. It helped me calm my daughter now knowing there are a lot of people still waiting for word from academies.

Tell her to calm down and welcome to this great information network. Ask any question you like. Someone will probably be able to answer it. My DD had a late acceptance and we sweated it out for quite a while. Now 2LT USMC.

Thanks for your encouragement. I have the utmost respect for women in the Marine Corps...not an easy road! My DD's dad is retired 0-6. I was married to him for 14 years...I still love the USMC but him...not so much
