High school teacher evaluation

I’m looking for advice on how to handle a lazy Physical Education teacher that has not completed the teacher evaluation. My DS has contacted him 3 times over the last 2 months with the request. The last 2 times the teacher responded that he would get ”right on it”.
I will get involved and Cc the principal but I’m afraid I will not be as cordial as my DS. Our high school is remote as a result of Covid so I’m extremely irritated that this guy is collecting a paycheck for his extended vacation (not much for a Phys Ed teacher to do online).
My major concern is that he gives a bad evaluation because he is being forced to do the eval.

Is there a way to get the evaluation done by someone else?

I had to get involved with an English teacher. DS had contacted her several times over the summer and again once school started with no result. When I finally emailed her, I was cordial but explained that "early decision" deadlines were approaching and he would miss out on opportunities if her eval was not received and could she please help him out at her earliest convenience? The Congressional deadline was nearing as well as the need to finish as many checkmarks as possible so that the FFR interview and DODMERB would be triggered, and she had agreed to do both a Congressional recommendation and the USMA online one. I know that there is no published algorithm for what triggers what exactly but "early decision" is a term that most teachers are familiar with, and knowing that "a lot in this kid's future is riding on your kindness" is a healthy way to express it. It worked--quickly I might add--but yes, there was a lot of frustration and uncertainty about how to handle it in our house too.

just reading through these, you guys shouldn't have to wait this long, try to reach out to a college counselor or principal, or find a new teacher, if they are taking this long, then they obviously aren't showing an interest in your student.

Schools usually like it if you go up the chain of command...so next would be the Athletic Director and the Guidance Counselor.

Issue resolved!
My DS has a very good rapport with his counselor and principal. Finally on the 4th go around the Phys Ed teacher responded in his email chain that he did not receive it! DS sent the entire email chain to the Principal and Phys Ed teacher and asked to send it to the Principal because the Phys Ed teacher was havi “technical issues”.
The Principal responded to all and asked the Phys Ed teacher to stop by the office! Justice
I wish I could see what the evaluation looks like.

For anyone else having this issue...when I need something important done, I take a lesson from Randy Pausch and send thin mints (ask around, you can find someone hoarding them). You ask the favor and give them the cookies. You ask them to please wait to eat the cookies until after they've completed the favor. Then instead of saying, "Did you fill out the evaluation yet?" you can say, "Have you been able to open those cookies?" It adds humor and a smile to what you are asking. =)
