My school has informed me that I cannot obtain an official 6 semester transcript until mid-September. Apparently "summer school grades" will affect my class rank.(I'm 10/196 as of 5.5 semesters so I don't see how this is possible.) After I have completed my Candidate Statements I have finished up all of my candidate kit. My nomination sources want my transcript by the September 30th and I'm afraid they won't make it in time(my Congressional district is NY-01 Rep. Lee Zeldin). What can I do? Have any other schools done this to people before?

JLur,
Are you in contact with your USMA Admissions Officer? I recommend giving them a call. I believe the number is (845) 938-572. If not go to the Admissions website and go to the Northeast Region for updated contact details. They will square things away. In the past, we worked with schools to release "official" unofficial transcripts until the official ones were released. That was 5 years ago, so things may have changed.

Additionally, just ensure you stay on top of everything and keep doing what you are doing. Feel free to PM me if you have further questions.

Our school was not able to release the official transcript until September for both of my kids, too. If they will be done by Mid-September, then you are fine. I would insure you make an appointment with the guidance counselor and have a copy printed out of the required deadlines of the MOCs nomination packets with you. I'm sure they will make it happen for you. While I know you would prefer to get everything in earlier, just relax.

Also, MOCs usually swing a big stick. Call their office and see what guidance the person in charge of nominations might have. They might also be able to swing things loose with a phone call. But do the printout deal mentioned above first.
