History being made at the Ranger Course..

Curious...if a female was volunteering to do this, what advice would you give? I have to think there may be females on here possibly considering this. Also do typically all males show up with 300+ APFTs. Huge respect for any female that can accomplish this!! Looks like time will tell.

Do it for the right reason and do an honest self assessment.

Being a Ranger school graduate, I believe making through Ranger school requires two things - basic physical ability and strong heart. Doesn't matter how strong you are, after so many days with little sleep and little food, the only thing that will keep you going is your heart.

What was my reason- I did not have a choice as I was active duty Infantry (kidding). I felt that it was something I was supposed to do and something I committed to do when I became an Infantry officer.

Very demanding as MemberLG stated. Had an older brother do it many years ago and he stated that some people had hallucinations but committed to drive on and did so to finish.

An elite group of people!:thumb:
