Hi everyone,
I'm having doubts about my acceptance due to comparison to statistics and resumes I've seen. I would like to request for any sort of brutally honest opinions or insight regarding whether or not I have chances for admission. I have included my stats below:

High School GPA: 3.985 unweighted
College GPA (Running Start/Dual credit program): 4.0 unweighted
High School Class Rank: 20/209 (subject to change)
SAT: I'm taking it in August, October, and November
AP Classes: I've taken AP World and AP Human Geo

The classes I've taken at high school have been higher level, like pre calc, chem, spanish 2&3, physics, biomed, etc. At the college I attend, I've taken even more difficult classes like more chem classes, calculus 1, general psychology, eng 101, political science, etc.

Work Experience: I've worked once in eighth grade when I was selected to be a State Senate Page for a week and assisted Senators on the Senate floor.

Volunteer Hours: around 163 (subject to change)
Volunteer highlights: When I was a Senate Page, I volunteered to assist the cooks in the kitchen and had helped directory staff. I volunteered at a small club shack where I sold products, managed funds, tracked inventory, etc. I organized a campus cleanup at the high school I attend, getting as many clubs in the school involved as possible. As a Leadership Club (ASB) volunteer, I've organized, sent, and sorted club/sport purchase forms.

Extracurriculars: Math Team (4 years, was PIO officer, now president), Key Club (4 years, was PIO/Editor officer, now secretary), S2S (3 years, was PIO officer, now vice president), NHS (3 years, member), Spanish NHS (2 years, member), and I'm a Leadership Club (ASB) volunteer.

Sports: JV tennis (2 years-- 9th, 11th, and have high possibility of varsity my incoming senior year but the season begins way after the application deadline)

The only honorable awards I have are being on Chancellor's List in College, Honor Roll in high school, and a "Mención Honorífica Recognition medal" in the AATSP National Spanish Exam.

I have few achievements: I was selected nationally to attend a leadership conference at West Point for a week (FHSLP), and I've contributed in a team to qualifying for a state level math competition for two years (but didn't place).

My physical state isn't the strongest and I know that's one portion that I definitely need to work on. I'm incredibly out of shape and need to practice for the CFA.

Everything looks good except sports, but no one can even come close to telling you if your competitive or not since you haven't taken the SAT. Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure the SAT makes up at least 25% of the entire file. Good Luck to you, I am also applying c/o 2027

Even if we knew your SAT/ACT score, we’d have no clue as to your chances. Too many variables, too many unknowns. For every person who says they received offer of appointment with stats like yours, you’ll find several who didn’t receive offer of appointment.

Don’t believe any odds you may see here. It’s pure conjecture. To paraphrase Mark Wahlberg’s unforgettable character in “The Departed”: “Let’s just say we have no ___ idea and leave it at that.”

Focus less on your so-called odds and focus more on what you can control. The rest will take care of itself.

During my son's visit, the admissions officer said 30+ ACT and 1400+ SAT were competitive for the standardized test scores portion...FWIW

Do your best to score very well on the SAT. Put in a lot of work to prepare for the CFA so you can do very well since you don't have as much athletic history to lean on. Ultimately, don't self-eliminate yourself from consideration based on a feedback from a random forum. The only certainty is you will not get accepted if you don't apply.

Yes, but do not despair if scores are below this threshold. DS took SAT 3 times and super scored 1300 and was appointed. I think the average SAT score for class of 2025 was 1320. Much depends on the total application.

40% is the standardized test. Also do not despair. Where sports are concerned, I was in JV Badminton for a year and was team manager for another. Not much.

Agree...for clarification, these were the scores he told me that could help an application if other parts were not as strong and needed a boost...did not mean to imply you needed these scores for consideration although getting this range helps a lot...
