I know the averages for the CFA are higher than this, but I still have some time to train before the CFA.

Do you think with enough training, I can get my scores up? (I have been training twice daily in strength training and aerobics)

These are my current scores in their respective categories:

USMA CFA
Basketball throw
  • 65 feet
Sit ups
  • 45
Push ups
  • 35
Mile run
  • 6:55
Pull ups
  • 5

Your goal should always be to be at or above the average for all of the events. There is still a LONG time before you have to take it. You can improve a lot in two months.

Do you think with enough training,

Only you, not anyone on this forum, is in position to answer this question. Only you know how much potential you have left, or whether you’ve hit your ceiling. Though you seem to answer your own question quite clearly, by saying these marks are below average and that you still have time to train. If that were my case, I know exactly what I’d do.

Yeah I don’t even know why I even ask these questions.. I have a goal and plan in mind anyways

was kind of just looking for someone who took the CFA to give me some feedback to see if I’m on the right track but this feedback is also appreciated greatly

You should try to increase the number of push-ups and pull-ups. With the CFA videos, candidates are typically cut repetitions and your scores in both are below average. Focus on form as well as the overall number.

If you submitted those scores right now, you would not pass. Not only is there a minimum requirement for each event, but there is also a minimum score threshold. Just because you pass every event doesn't mean you will pass the CFA. Therefore, you should strive to work as hard as you can throughout the next few months to get those scores up. Are you a male? If so, your push ups are at the literal bare minimum and your pull ups aren't far from it (3). Your sit ups are failing. The basketball throw and mile run are alright, but you should definitely keep working on them. I would focus most of your energy on sit ups and upper body workouts over these next few months. In just 1 month I brought myself from 2 pull ups to 8. Good luck!

Do you know what the minimum requirement is for females and push ups?

No one truly knows the minimums. The only true way to know if you will pass is if you max out all the scores. That being said, you should strive to be at or above all the averages.

The minimum requirement for female push ups is 15, but of course you should strive for more. Remember the threshold. And try to do at least 1 pull up if you can. 1 pull up looks way better than the max for flexed arm hang.

After months of training, I have passed the CFA. Don’t give up, anything is attainable if you’re driven enough.
