I'm currently taking a class for SAT, so I expect my score to be a lot better.

I know my grades during sophomore year weren't so great, but I will get a 4.0 this coming school year.

How competitive am I for SLS and admissions to West Point? Thank you

Looking good

Test scores are huge in the consideration, and you are obviously in great physical shape. Your trip to SLS will help you get an LOA-but get the SAT scores up a little to be sure.

Take the ACT as well. Some do better on one over the other (ACT vs. SAT). Take the tests multiple times. Report them all to WP. WP will track your high sub-scores. In other words, if you take the SAT again and make a 400 math, 720 verbal, your SAT scores as far as WP is concerned will be 710/720. My son took the ACT a bunch of times inching his score up a few points each time he took it.

Practice for the CFA. Even though you are athletic, practice will probably improve your score given the very specific nature of the events tested.

Apply for SLS as early as possible. Watch the web site and send in your application as soon as they start accepting them.

No one can really tell you how competitive you are but your stats look fairly good. They consider everything but you GPA looks nice. Also nice sports.

Thanks. Can anyone tell me how competitive it is to get into SLS? I'm worried because California is a tough state.
