Do I just use their first name? Or should I use Mr? I'm unsure because they are not technically a teacher or anything, but they still do a lot in the admissions process? What did you guys do?

If by FF you mean Field Force, do not address them by first name. Use appropriate rank or title, unless requested to do so otherwise:
  • If the rep is a retired officer, address them as Colonel, Major, etc.
  • If a veteran, but not retired use appropriate title - Mr./Mrs., Dr. Professor, etc.
  • As Banzai said, use Sir/Ma'am regardless of title
Different areas of the country have different social constructs. It is always best to start with the more formal if there is any uncertainty.

In California it was normal for children to call adults by first name. Shortly after we moved to New England for a few years, I walked my then 7 year old son to the school bus stop. We saw a neighbor and my son cheerfully shouted, "Hi Steve!" and I had to quickly interject and say "No! No! That is Mr. Jones!" Of course my son gave me that look that all kids have that tells you that grownups are crazy.

On your portal, in the field force tab it will state what the appropriate title is (Mr., Mrs., etc.). Always address them formally, respectfully, cordially, and professionally; they are not your buddy. Create a good first impression because you only get one, and they will be interviewing you in your application process.

Just thought I'd add in the south (or at least NC) it's Mr. Steve or Miss Betty (regardless of marital status), if you know them. Otherwise it's the usual formal Mr./Mrs./Miss.

Ma'am or Sir unless we tell you otherwise. I let kids call me whatever they are comfortable with. I know many from Boys State where everything is on a first name basis because it makes us veterans feel young. There is plenty time in their futures for the Ma'am / Sir business so I do whatever I can to set candidates at ease at the most stressful point in their lives up to now...
