How do you find out if you are on waiting list

I can see from the appointment thread that someone else from our district got a nomination today. How would DS find out if he was in a waiting list or not being considered ?
Wondering about the time line
He has a four year ROTC scholarship so have an awesome back up plan. Fairly certain they will accept appointment based on what I saw on the board.

Do you mean someone with a nomination reported an appointment today?

Assuming your DS is 3Q with a nom, he is still in play for an appointment until he is told he is not, sometime in the next few months.

How do you know that (which district) from the appt. thread?

Here is a quote from our Moderator "Stealth_81" who prohibits identifying any districts:

The moderation team recommends not identifying individual districts in any posts in order to protect anonymity. Once an individual is tied to a district it becomes easier to identify exactly who they are. Remember, everything you post here is visible to everyone, whether a member of the forum or not.

This person identified who nominated was from my state had posted on a nominated thread what district
I still have no idea who the person is and don’t really want to know, I just know that spot is taken so wondering the next step so to speak

He has all green checks with a nomination
Maybe he should reach out to field coordinator and ask ?

You may want to go back and read the Sticky at the top of the Nominations forum.

Everyone who is fully qualified with a nom, if not selected as the appointee off the slate, goes into a “national pool” of others in the same situation.

Between now and April, or even into May, the SA can continue to fill out the class from the pool, per the applicable policies. Those appointments aren’t charged against the elected official’s quota.

Has he received a fully qualified letter?

If he has all green checks, including a nom, the name of the game is waiting to be offered an appointment or learning he is not. I am not sure what he would ask the field coordinator, but I never discourage anyone going to the primary source over an anonymous unofficial Internet forum.

Don't try to figure out the timing of appointments - your head will explode. The other candidate may have been appointed from a category that has nothing to do with the district.

Thank you
He has all green checks and we saw his FFR last week when our MOC had all the kids nominated to the SAs for a reception and he told DS his application was good to go what ever that means
He has a 4 year ROTC scholarship to two military academies and one state school
Trying to decide between those three
It’s a good problem to have and if USMA does not work out it will be ok ! This whole process is a different animal to be sure
Thank you for answering my question
Thank you
