How does the Waiver Process Work for NROTC?

Several months ago my son got a DQ for childhood asthma - associated with his pending Annapolis application. I think (not that I am an expert) that he can get a waiver. We have already submitted to DODMERB a set of independent medical tests as a follow-up.

He was just awarded a NROTC-MO scholarship and got an email that references kicking of the DODMERB process.

First - I assume that all of the existing documents and reports that DODMERB has will "port over" to his NROTC scholarship - right?

Second - will his NROTC award automatically generate a Waiver review process?

Thanks,

To my knowledge the documentation will "port over" to NROTC. I applied to USNA and finished my medical tests before I finished my NROTC application, but once my NROTC app had been processed it appeared as another "school" in my DoDMERB portal.
I'm afraid I don't have the answer to your second question - I'm currently stuck in the same position myself.

The day after my son received the 4 year NROTC, his DODMERB dad opened and he qualified. It was quick!
