I dont know why or if I`m just being paranoid, but I think my Liaison Officer blocked me on email and call. I mean I don`t spam him or bother him(in my opinion). In case of the worst case scenario, how will this affect my admissions process?

These are people who have lives outside of WP too.

If you don’t mind me asking, how long has it been since he responded?

He could simply be out of town or up to some other business.

How many emails/calls is “I don’t spam him or bother him?” What were the general inquiries made?

Obviously no one will know if you were actually blocked, but it will help in assessing if it’s even a scenario, and also comment on your last inquiry. Which, BTW, no one here will be able to answer with certainty....

@talltrees: it is unlikely your liason officer blocked you.

As a long-time Sales Manager, let me suggest that there are more ways to contact someone than phone and email. You could send snail mail, Fedex, etc. You could mark your email with a return receipt requested.

His gmail doesn’t get my emails and his phone automatically goes to voicemail

How do you know his gmail doesn't get your emails? The phone going automatically to voice mail doesn't necessarily mean anything. Anyone who wants to truly control their time and phone calls lets things go to voicemail. They can always return what they feel are the important ones.

It's August. People take vacations in August.

One thing important to understand about this application process is the WAITING required. Patience. Also after you join the military. Been exposed to it remotely, (through DS’s) only two years and the amount of waiting is incredible. The military is a whole different lifestyle than what this generation of “instant gratification” and “immediate access to info” is used to. It’s a big adjustment!

Personally, if a question isn’t addressed after a week, that’s when I would address the issue again. This is a process that takes time and patience. Something you will have to get used to.

Re: Gmail, my guess is that read receipts has been turned on? Is that how you know they haven’t been read? And re: phone to VM, perhaps the phone is on do not disturb. As in vacation. Or, alternately, perhaps your needs have been made known and your advisor is not addressing them at this time but will in the future.

From the beginning of my junior year to my senior year I contacted him around 4 times

I’ve had this problem. It took a month and a half for my liaison officer to reply to one email that I had sent. They didn’t even mention how late their response was...

DS had this issue with his USNA BGO. It took multiple emails and calls to get a response (repeatedly). I took forever to schedule his interview. DS was torn between USMA and USNA. I won't say it was a major factor in his decision, but it did play a role

BGO's and FFR's are volunteers who usually have full time careers, families and generously donate their time for the good of the SA's. While this is a plea for more patience and understanding, a lack of response over an extended period should result in a query up the ladder of the admissions hierarchy.
