Just wondering- does anyone know how much of a factor the PFT is with the selection board?
All things being equal, very important.
All things not being equal, very important.
Yet... It's just one part of the entire package that is considered.
Army ROTC: hardly matters
Navy ROTC- Navy Option: hardly matters
Air Force ROTC - Hardly matters
Navy ROTC - Marine Option: An important factor

Here's a good article that gives insight on what they look for in the board. It was written by a Marine Officer acquaintance of mine that used to sit on the boards.
Gotta love LtCol. Bell! Such a great guy.
I was just reading through some of the forum posts...not much going on at work today. The Sandgram article on the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship was excellent. With so much weight put on the PFT for the NROTC-MO, who supervises that test for the kid and records the results? Simply curious...
Northerner: the PFT is supervised by active duty personnel. The interviewing officer or his staff. Typically it is done at the same time as the interview.
Mine was given to me by my recruiter, who gave the results to the XO of the recruiting station
