How long between OTS and UPT?

Hi, all!

I know that there is no normal, but I am just curious for people who entered the Reserves on a UPT pilot slot... How long did you wait between graduating OTS and starting UPT? Are you still considered active during the in-between time? How does pay work during this time?

Generally, neither the Reserves or ANG will send you to OTS until they can pipeline you straight into UPT. The wait is almost always minimal.

Also, you will generally stay on orders (Title 10 if ANG) between OTS and UPT.

Pay will be as if you are ADAF-- 1st and the 15th.

Be careful in OTS-- don't get hurt.
