How long does it take my MOC to make a decision about nominations (When will I hear back)?

I've done my interviews already and now all I have left to do is wait. But how long? My district rep interview was on Nov. 4, and my Senator interviews were on Nov. 17-18. I live in Arizona in the 5th district, which I understand has about an average competition level. Anyone know anything?

Take a deep breath and learn the fine military art of Hurry Up and Wait.

MOCs have until 31-January to give their slates to the Academies. Most don’t wait this long - but there is no hard-and-fast rule. Try to learn patience and once you have done your part - enjoy your senior year.

None of us can answer this question. There could still be other interviews, especially for candidates who are coming from college next week or candidates who live out is district (military dependents or overseas candidates). All you can do is wait and work on Plan B. Remember most candidates hear from mid/late Jan to late March.

Did you interview with McCain and Flake on Friday or Saturday? I would have thought CD 5 would be quite competitive with the East Valley--not so? We're in CD 1 and O'Halleran only had 14 scheduled interviews and two of those were no shows. My grandson did all three interviews on Saturday. Which SAs did you apply to?

I could have been wrong about the competitiveness. I applied to the US Air Force and Naval Academies. My McCain interview was on Friday and Flake on Saturday.

Grandson applied to the same two academies. Both Senators' panels said nominations would be made before Christmas. O'Halleran's panel said the same but with the much smaller number of interviews, we're expecting his decisions to be made earlier.

How many interviews did Congressman Biggs' office do in CD 5?

Very best of luck to you!!--it's quite a process.

Grandson heard from Senator McCain's office late this afternoon via a phone call, but nothing shows yet on his portals. Haven't heard from Senator Flake nor Representative O'Halleran yet.
