How long for EA decision?

Now that everything is in for my DS' EA application, I'm antsy already! I know the official response deadline in 12/23, but wondering if and how much earlier we might actually hear something? Just trying to set my expectations realistically. Thanks! Fingers crossed.

I submitted my application on the 10th and was told I would hear news around Thanksgiving.

Do you think it goes by when you submitted, or when your last recommendation was received (ours was at least a week after the rest was done)?

I heard it at an admissions brief I attended last week. It is based on when you submit the application, as admissions are by rolling basis this year.

My son submitted on the 15th and received an email on the 18th that his application would go to the review board within the next 2 weeks. I am hoping he will hear before the end of November.

If it's like it has been in past years, they can hold applications for some until later in the EA period to see more applications before making a determination, or defer them to the regular admission cycle. Don't get caught up in the cycle of watching when others get decisions or when those folks submitted their application, because it isn't always linear. If the app was submitted within the last few days of the early application window, don't expect to hear anything until close to 12/23.

If that email is like the ones they have been sending out the last few years, it says it will be submitted to the review board in the next two weeks - which does NOT mean it will be reviewed in the next two weeks.
