I am wondering if anyone who has received a LOA or appointment letter, could you please tell me the date you applied and submitted your information? I applied in late October and am wanting to know how long other people have had to wait.
Thanks!

Prepare yourself to not hear back until April. That is the date told to me by several admissions counselors as their final date to notify applicants. At least you'll be pleasantly surprised if you do hear before then.

DD had everything in by September. She has an interview next week with her Congressman but no LOA letter yet. Not everyone gets a letter so here we wait probably until April. Waiting is so hard.

Here are complete dates for my son during the process

Personal Data Record: 09/03/2016
Candidate Fitness Assessment: 06/19/2016
Candidate Activities Record : 09/14/2016
English Rec : 09/19/2016
Math Rec : 08/21/2016
Candidate Academic Information: 05/27/2016
HS Transcript: 10/18//2016
JROTC Nomination: 08/17/2016

For DoDMERB, it took about 2 weeks to complete the process.

12-SEP-16 Application Added
12-SEP-16 Date applicant entered into DoDMERB system
19-SEP-16 Actual date of exam
27-SEP-16 Date exam reviewed
27-SEP-16 Date exam received at DoDMERB
27-SEP-16 Medical data entry
28-SEP-16 Date letter sent - DD2368: Status Letter

BGO interviewed on OCT 02 and it has been submitted on the same day , but it was updated on the portal within about 2 weeks later from the interviewed day.

OCT 28, 2016 got an email about Application Status Change Notification and then checked the portal , it has been changed to offer the appointment to USNA .

Hope that helps.

USNA commits to informing candidates by April 15. Most hear in the Feb-March timeframe. LOAs are the exception and not the norm. If you got an LOA you can't get an appointment until 3Q with a nom. MOCs have until 1/31 to submit their slates. Even if your MOC informed you of their noms, it's doesn't mean they officially submitted their slate until you see your portal update. Medical waivers can take time.
