How many Candidates are actually on the forum?

I looked at that page. Doesn’t look like an official UNSA/NAPS product to me. They should annotate that in the BIO, imo. Lots of wondering people, like yourself.

Therefore, no it doesn’t mean anything….as far as an appointment or offer.

We were just joking. Since we're all sitting around here reading tea leaves and looking for signs.

If our congressional district uses the principle nomination is it likely (although not absolute) that admissions has sent out the letter of acceptance to someone else and my son is hopefully sitting in the applicant pool waiting to hopefully be selected.
Or are they still possibly going through principle nominations this late in the game.

There is simply no way of knowing how/when they review the slates. If the principal nom method is used, keep in mind that person must also be fully qualified. There may be an ongoing delay with medical qualification. The person might not be scholastically qualified. Or…any number of things.

The bottom line is your son is still under consideration until he is told he is not. Where appointments are charged against specific nom sources may not settle until late in the cycle.

USNA has said it will try to notify most applicants of their status by April 15. March and April are the looonnggest months in the cycle to applicants.

Thank you for your response. This is our first rodeo with academy admissions. If the principle was given and accepted in our congressional district then my son could be sitting in a pool of candidates waiting, is that correct.
Answers lead to questions. Lol
Thanks.

You might want to go to the pinned post at the top of the Nominations forum for an overview.

The simple answer is that if you have a nomination from any source, regardless of how many other candidates have nominations from that same source, you are in the running until the SA tells you that you are rejected.

Don't overthink it.

Move on to stuff you can control.
