How many don't make it to graduation??

And that's acceptance day. How many were gone before even then?

If you don't believe the warnings about how hard it is to make it through Kings Point, this link is to the class photo of 2011 at Indoc and at Graduation. (note, about 10 or so in graduation photo were set-backs from previous years).

Now kpmom2011, we probably shouldn't be scaring the newbie parents..

Of the 283 cadets that matriculated in my son’s class on 6 July 2001, 65% ended up walking the stage 4 years later..

The graduation photo includes about 25 set-backs from previous years.

Our son was in class of 2011. They started out with around 273 and there were 206 at graduation.

Depending on how many applied, let's say around 2,800 with 273 getting in, that makes it 7% of those apply will graduate from KP. When you see it in this light, it really makes your kid and AWESOME kid. Congratulations to all the graduates from KP, no matter what year you graduated.

In the video the parents association put out from this year, the speaker said there were 7400 applicants, 292 in the incoming class.

Admiral Greene said that 7400 were considered. I am not sure what the means.

It means our kids are among a very elite group to make the grade and be admitted to KP and they will be even more elite when they walk at graduation!!

Not having been there the video does sound like he is saying 7400. Either way be very proud of your child - whether 3400 or 7400 it is still an outstanding accomplishment.

325 reported - 191 graduated - 6 were setbacks - 115 E, 76 D, 31 Honors
7 Indonesian cadets not included

and the class of 2015 is not done yet.. there's still 1443 days and a 'wake up' left in the screening process..

I miss posted earlier.. My son's class had 35 set-backs not 25. I think the days of that many set-backs may be long gone.
