I was wondering how often the board meets now since it's now March

Before everyone gets too deep into this question please keep in mind - as I've mentioned in other threads - that the Admissions Board does not make the final determination as to who gets an appointment. The Board's sole purpose is to determine whether a candidate is primarily academically qualified - and at Annapolis this covers a wide range of factors - to be considered for an appointment by the Admissions Department.

Based on previous years, I assume the Board is probably into at least twice a week meetings by now.

Academy Admissions on the other hand is working five days a week reviewing candidate information forwarded by the Admissions Board, making an appointment decision of some type (appointment, NWL, delayed consideration, etc.) and in some cases actually filling slots.

The Admissions Board is not the final decision maker as to who gets an appointment - the staff of the Admissions Department makes that decision; and qualification by the Admissions Board does not guarantee an appointment in a substantial number of cases.

The only relevant importance of how many times a week the Admissions Board meets is that that information gives a general idea of how many candidates are being pushed through the evaluation pipeline.

In the past, most candidates are presented to the Board for no more than five minutes - and in a number of cases significantly less - before a decision on qualifications is made.
