How to find which squadron is assigned to you?

My DS just submitted the appointment kit. Does the squadron assign after submitting the appointment kit?
 
No, it will be a little bit of time before we get them. I wouldnt expect to see anything for at least another week, but I defer
 
Your appointee will be getting orders sometime in the next few weeks. The BCT squadron & report time will be on the orders.

The BCT squadron is ONLY during BCT. As a parent, you can look up "Flight" at the picnic after dropping off your appointee.
After successful completion of BCT, the chart Shiner posted will allow you to determine which ACADEMIC squadron your cadet will enter on Acceptance Day. For instance, Aggressors flight a = Cadet Squadron 1 (CS-01).
 
Interesting - anyone know why the switch from 10 squadrons with 4 flights to 8 squadrons with 5?

The 8 squadrons are only for BCT. After BCT, they will break out into the 10 squadrons after A-day along with rest of the Wing when everyone is back from summer training/break.

Just guessing, but maybe to align them with the groups. i.e. Aggressors and Barbarians go to group one, cobras and demons group 2, etc.

No - there are 8 squadrons during BCT and then they break into 4 groups and 40 squadrons for the academic year. That part I get. My question was why the change from when I was there when it was 10 BCT squadrons.

I have no real reason to need to know this, I was just curious.

What were I and J squadrons nicknamed?
 
Sons portal now contains Travel Orders, Squadron and Mail Box are still pending.
