Does anyone know if there is a PRT administered on/ immediately after I-Day? I've had sources (online, grads, etc) tell me yes and no.
There is some sort of PT test done the first day of PEP. I can't remember if it's the PRT or slightly different. Maybe a current Mid can remember. I remember being in a daze doing it. I was also a detailer and administered it. Half the new Plebes were still so in the fog, shocked, lost, confused they could barely do a push up. Also humidity hit some of them hard who weren't used to it. We used it to gauge fitness, but I remember after a few days we had a much better idea who was really in shape and wasn't regardless of how they scored. I don't remember using the scores for anything. Your PRT for record will be done at the end of Plebe Summer.
^ yeah I am super concerned about the validation exams! I am a college reapplicant, and I want to validate as much as possible, but I am concerned that I won't be able to pass the tests under the stress of plebe summer. Can anyone comment on the difficulty of the exams/ how frequently plebes validate classes?
I am technically a fourth class midshipman in ROTC, but the sentiment remains. I'll look into changing it. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.....I hope someone has suggested changing usernames to you. You'll catch hell for that if you attend an academy.
DS was a college reapplicant as well, and was able to validate several classes. I think you will be fine. Best of luck to you, GO NAVY!^ yeah I am super concerned about the validation exams!
