Warning— selfish promotion follows
Did you earn a 3AD and are wondering how to cover your freshman year?

Come to Montana State in beautiful Bozeman, MT. There is a reason everyone is leaving the coasts and coming to Montana—- its awesome.

MSU will cover the freshman year tuition of any out of state 3AD winner. Easy as that.

Fantastic Engineering school with a new 70million engineering building and state of the art labs.

Phenomenal college of nursing with guaranteed upper division slots (some schools don't guarantee this, we do).

Skiing less than 30 minutes away. Fly fishing on world famous rivers.

Parents are not allowed to move here.

Montana is freakin’ beautiful, and Bozeman is a fantastic location. Perfect for fishing, skiing, hunting, and I guess AROTC. *sarcasm*

In another life I would’ve attended your school, sir. I can see myself living in Bozeman someday.

LOL - You should add "and fly fishing heaven" to your promo....!

Any comments about the sterling qualities of the cadre? 😁

I think it’s great you spend time here. Primary and official sources are rare and valuable. More of your peers from all service ROTCs should drop by.

All but one are changing out between now and summer.

I actually don’t know. Mil discount saves you about $3 at Big Sky.
Dollars to donuts says that the baseline—Big sky vs. Summit County—makes the $3 almost irrelevant. We won’t even talk about the crowds. I would also say that the drive time In MT on a Friday afternoon, Sat AM or Sunday late afternoon would beat the heck out of any ski area on the planet. Utah will argue this.

My DS’s choice to commission through ROTC has not been an issue in his Army career.

Bump with more selfish promotions
For 3rd board 3AD winners wondering how to pay that freshman year.

Ask! Ask the school you plan on attending if there are any deals for

some schools cover freshman year (Montana State for example).

some schools have room and board money to help (Montana State for example)

some schools have guaranteed upper division nurse slots (Montana State for example)

some schools give priority registration so you can actually graduate on time (us of course)

some schools have alumni funds

If you didnt earn a scholarship look at enlisting in the national guard, postponing basic training and then contracting your sophomore year. Some states offer free tuition or reduced tuition for members of the guard (and once you contract sophomore year no need to attend basic training)

If Montana State is willing to draft the most significant age waiver ever written, I'll pack my bags, head west, and do another 20 years!

I need my own dorm room, though. I like my personal space.

I need my own medic. The first 20 took a toll.

I need the regular stipend, and a separate (but equal) beer stipend.

And I want a walk-on slot as a punter for the football team. I easily average 8 yards per kick...with the wind at my back.

Deal?
