How to update extra curriculars?

Two Questions here:
1) How do I update my extra curriculars? I'm looking for the option but I only see "view my CAR information" which doesn't allow me to edit. I was just made Executive Officer(XO) of my brigade and I want to add that to my package, which leads to my second question...
2) How much will brigade XO help my application? I'm 2IC in the brigade and I could have gone for Brigade Commander but the brigade needed a good XO(the XO pretty much runs the brigade at my school). Anyway, do they recognize XO as a big leadership position? People are telling me I should have gone for brigade commander to boost my chances at USMA.

1. Ask you RC and they will advise the name of the technician to send info to. My DD followed this path when updating her CAR.

I'm confident they recognize XO as a leadership position. They recognize that good XO's "run" their organization. The CO sets the direction, and gives some direction to the XO, but the XO still has room for lots of decisions and problem solving, as well as herding all the cats.

Title itself is cool and all but won't impact your chances, I'm assuming you held officer position before so it will stay as "officer". What you do with your position, the difference you make in others and your community can be expressed to them through your personal letters and recommendation letters. If the position means more responsibility and challenges that you think are noteworthy mention it during you interview (when asked) or through your essays. I know from experience, remember trying to update my COR for the SAME promotion last year
